6412 Remote Control
Advanced coding
The process of advanced coding is similar to the regular
programming described on the Remote Control Page. As stated on
that page these protocols are the "codes" for the individual
buttons. The protocols for UEI remotes using code 0476 for the
Motorola Digital STB are listed below:

To program a protocol into the remote:

If it was programmed
correctly then the Cable Light will flash 2x |

Using 994 for Moving a key from One Device key to
another
| Press &
Hold "setup" (3 sec) |
Enter 9-9-4 |
Press the
Source Device button & then the button you wish to move |
Press the
Destination Device button & then the button you wish to move the function to |
 |
 |

Example:
If the
remote has a button that controls the Aspect Ratio function
under your "TV" device code (the "Input" button for
instance) & you wanted it to be under the "CBL" mode (under
the "HD Zoom" button) then you would:
Press &
Hold Setup --> 9-9-4 --> TV --> Input --> Cable --> HD ZOOM
TV would be your
Source & Cable Would be the
Destination |

To
Reset a button to factory functionality:
| Select Device
key that the programming was done under |
Press &
Hold "setup" (3 sec) |
Enter 9-9-4 |
Press setup |
Press the
button that you want to return to its original state twice (2x) |

 |
This should return the device back to its
original function |

If you use the list below you can
program more protocols for your other devices then move them to
the cable button for easier access....After
a key is moved it will stay under the new device mode even if
the original device is reprogrammed...
